This brief was introduced to me in 3rd year and was set by UWS graphic design graduate, Craig Black. I was asked to design an identity for a luxury lifestyle brand called ‘Visio’ which is a latin translation for ‘idea’ or ‘vision’. The brand sold products which were quirky, trendy and up market. The guidelines set by designer Black were somewhat constricting as a particular colour scheme was given along with specific typography instructions, however I made it work to my best ability. The final imagery after much experimentation with logo designs was a silhouette of a spyglass incorporated into the letter ‘V’. This shape embodies the latin translation of Visio as it connotes to light, vision and goals which illustrates the brands meaning and tone effectively and successfully.
